Naples Voted to 10Best Golf Destinations List by Readers of USA TODAY

Naples, Fla.(April 24, 2014) Naples, Fla. is one of the winners of the Best Golf Destination category in the 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest sponsored by USA TODAY. After being selected as a nominee by USA TODAY’s panel of golf experts, Naples came in at number five on the list, ahead of iconic golf destinations including Scotland and Pebble Beach, California. 

Nominees for all categories are chosen by a panel of relevant experts which include a combination of editors from USA TODAY; editors from; relevant expert contributors and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties. The nomination panel for each travel award category is displayed on its associated contest page.  All voting is digital and the 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award contest is accessible on the website.

While the 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award contest lives on - a standalone travel media site - it is promoted across USA TODAY Travel Media Group’s digital and mobile products, as well as via social media.  Nominees are also announced and/or promoted across Gannett media outlets including the websites of its 81 local newspapers and 23 television stations.
