Naples Nominated as one of 10Best North American Romantic Getaway - Fans Voting Will Determine the Winner

Naples, Fla. (January 3, 2014) - Naples, Florida is one of the nominees in the latest 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest. The expert panel of editors at 10Best selected Naples as a contender for the Best Romantic North American Getaway category, which launched this past week. The contest, which is being promoted by USA TODAY, gives voters until January 27 to vote for the candidate of their choice at A person can vote once a day for the run of the contest. 

10 Best content manager and senior editor Libby McMillan sent notification of the nomination to JoNell Modys, the public relations and communications manager at the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau. McMillan advised, “Prior competitions have been hotly contested, and we look forward to seeing how you rock the vote in your own community. Good luck, and once again - congratulations!”

“Naples is currently in second place behind St. Paul, Minnesota so we’d like to encourage the entire community to exercise their right to vote daily until January 27,” said Modys. “Top rankings on this type of top ten travel list bring a welcome spotlight to the area and helps remind potential visitors of the beautiful, romantic experiences awaiting them here in Florida’s Paradise Coast." 

Voting ends Monday, January 27th, 2014 at 11:59am EST and the winners will be announced on 10Best on Wednesday, January 29th, 2014 at 11:59am EST, then later on USA TODAY. 10Best is a division of USA Today Travel Media Group.
